The current 6-hour sessions are due to complete in 25 minutes' time, in the last completed one all the eggs were unpipped, as far as we could see.
But I actually got a prey-drop !!!
A doodle that went wrong.
Xavier checked in @ 05:07 this Oz morning:
40 minutes later, Xav took over, couldn't get a better view of eggs at this time, one looks a bit strange:
The end of one egg looked a bit "worn" at this stage:
Latest turnings, snaps "optimised", 2 different eggs looking the worse for wear
I'm packing up now, SYAL :)
Xavier getting in position:
Eggs 17:00 Oz time:
Scylla, Let's hope that what you saw on two of the eggs (and in your snaps above) is a trick of the light or perhaps a bit of prey or nest material sticking to the eggs.
Kind regards, Ann
IIRC, their eggs often look tatty, GB :)
Off-topic, what a lovely photo of a male peregrine "Peter Christian" has tweeted, I haven't done anything to it except downsize to facilitate upload:
Nothing tatty about these eggs @ changeover time this Oz morning - unless that's a flaw on the right end of the rear egg - Xavier hasn't got up since daycam came on.
Did everyone except me know about THIS CAM ??? !!!
I heard some cheeping just now, with audio heightened, but couldn't tell where it was coming from and there's no pip in sight.
I don't think that Nestcam2 has its own sound, at least I'm not getting any on the downloaded stream.
Here were the eggs, I should think this was the last sighting before nightcam:
