As I typed reply to Alans Phots,Mr was on Eggs,and MrsP2came back, he tries to woo her..but no joy so he flies off....

Perhaps she's playing hard to get now. She was - pardon me - gagging for it when she first moved in.

@Alan ....you really are a softy and have fallen for her charms CHOL:):)

For the record ... I don't much like her either, no warmth & not much other expression in her eyes!! She has a lot to learn in the 'death stare department' too!!
However, she does look pretty magnificent in flight as reflected in your great captures D ... loved the coming in to land ones especially!
Mr P very brave to stand his ground & try to woo Big Bertha ... hope she is flattered by his attentions & doesn't try to eat him!

Alan, Many thanks for the wonderful photos of the new female and of the male trying to sweet talk her. Do you suppose that she is young and inexperienced, perhaps?
Wendy, I imagine that Mr Peregrine is also hoping that the new female will not eat him!!

Mr on the Perch this morning......( As David mentioned in the BLOG, "Birds dont think like us humans" )  So our next phase begins.

He just flew and is back again.

Well snapped Alan....she certainly taking her time,but a good learner from a good teacher.

I love as he flies off, she looks up and it sounds almost like, awh! and her little chirrups bless and then she does have a soft sad look on her face.....

Lol, it took a while for Mr P to grab her attention away from whatever was so interesting outside the box! Didn't see any smiles!!
