Happy New Year everyone!
Great start with lovely captures of our pair ... but mighty strange about that 'third' one ... maybe a late 'first footer' Lol!
Good to have some colour Scylla, hope you are continuing to improve!
Gales seem to be a bit of a fixture just lately, another blow overnight promised here, stay safe all!

Maybe they're out earlier because of the winter and less food about?
Maybe, Sandra, don't know.
Kind regards, Ann
Just found this on BOT fb page, Ann
Wintering BOs
Interesting, Sandra. I'm trying to remember what times of year we have seen hunting Barn Owls. Saw one hunting many years ago in the late afternoon up at Cley--we had birding visitors so it was probably May or June. We saw one hunting at Rainham Marshes, again in the late afternoon/early evening but it was still light. We'd gone because they had a late night opening so it had to be somewhat after their usual closing time but we left before it was dark, a couple of hours at least before they closed. But neither Mr GB nor I can remember what time of year it was--sorry! We also saw 3 captive Barn Owls flying together at the Hawk Conservancy Trust on a member's evening flying display--probably about 7.30pm (and still light) in the summer or early autumn. Two of the three Owls caught a snack for themselves within a few minutes of being released, which delighted both the falconers and the entire audience!
20:38 Mister flew in and hid behind the box
20:39 Mrs CBO came onto the tray and met up with him on the back beam
20:50 Mrs CBO had left
Oh that sound wonderful, Ann! :D
Maybe out hunting early in the Spring/Summer because of extra little beaks to feed too.
21:13 Mrs CBO came back, middle beam
21:20 Argh! Just missed a shot of her leaving!
But caught Mister going at 21:22
22:03 One behind the box
22:19 A few screeches close to the barn made the BO turn around
23:45 One still behind the box. Quiet in and around the barn. LS has been great all evening. Goodnight
Mr arrived on Tray 07;20
