Happy New Year everyone!
Great start with lovely captures of our pair ... but mighty strange about that 'third' one ... maybe a late 'first footer' Lol!
Good to have some colour Scylla, hope you are continuing to improve!
Gales seem to be a bit of a fixture just lately, another blow overnight promised here, stay safe all!

Wendy, they will very rarely catch small birds.
The Mammal Society’s National Owl Pellet Survey has also shown that it is rare for Barn Owls (in the UK) to take amphibians, invertebrates, birds and bats, although rare isolated cases have been recorded.
Thanks Sandra, you maybe right, perhaps she/he was annoyed with it on its territory
Back to my usual contribution EN/B.

[/quote] Good morning Kate He flew up beside the box from below at the time, its back towards the cam, so I didn't see if it had anything in its talons. Strange though, with the activity I could make out afterwards.

15:55 He's in the box.
Though he might sneak in soon as I took my eye off him! Lol was in barn a bit ago eating some prey but had trouble recording on tablet & Mr K uploading on laptop!
I hope a rodent and not something feathered!
Salvaged a little bit but couldn't see where he got prey from ...
EDIT: A bit more from when he'd finished prey & before into box (which he did whilst I was otherwise occupied! Lol)
Doh! did cam freeze? he looks up and over as though he spots something, then its in his mouth. C'mon Sandra get those detective brains onto it XXXXXX
EDIT

Lol! My crystal ball is somewhat cloudy, Kate! ;D Maybe it was already on the tray?
Thanks Wendy.
