*** 2017 *** Happy New Year !!!
Welcome to our little group following the Cornish Barn Owls, hoping for a successful season in 2017.
We have a couple (female ringed) getting to know each other, no mating yet (that we have seen).
There was a visit to the barn earlier, didn't stay long, floated out stage right:
Techie note for newbies:
The barn cam is still badgering a lot and while it's not the stream is still on-off-on-off - the intermittent sound being the telltale - and there's a huge, variable lag on it.
IMAGICAT
Good morning ladies.
7:25 Male is on the tray. They were both there at 6:45 until the female flew to the back of the barn and out of view.
one preening tuther..
Nice and close on the tray for quite a while (?)
My internet went very down last night >:(
Sorry to hear that Scylla, I hope all is running smoothly now.
20:05 One on the back beam
20:15 That must have been the male as the female has just joined him (her dulcet tones alerted me! lol)
20:24 The male is alone again
20:58 Female flew to the back beam from behind the cam to join the male - both gone at 21:01
21:03 Male landed on the front beam and looked quite a few times at the barn floor.
22:05 Barn and nest box empty
00:30 Has been very quiet since.
Goodnight ladies :)
7:35 The male is on the tray and has been there for at least 45 minutes.
7:47 The female has just joined him
Both on the tray

Lol :D So funny Kate!
17:24 Female entered the box calling, the male is still on the beam in the barn behind it.
