The Great Crane Project

A new website dedicated to the Great Crane Project has been launched by Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, RSPB and Pensthorpe Conservation Trust with major funding from Viridor Credits Environmental Company.

http://www.thegreatcraneproject.org.uk/

Visitors to the website will be able to follow the story of the reintroduction of cranes to the Somerset Levels and Moors, from the collection of eggs in Germany, the raising of young at WWT headquarters at Slimbridge in Gloucestershire to the final release of birds in Somerset in Autumn.

The site gives details of the birds and the reintroduction process as well as a wide range of photographs and videos, regularly updated as the project progresses.

The website also includes regular blogs by project team members.
