Hi All
As the signs of spring are starting to appear all around us i thought i'd mention a couple of schemes to record these events.
Firstly, Spring Alive is an International monitoring scheme coordinated by Birdlife International to enable people all across Europe to record first sightings of swallow, swift and cuckoo (white stork is also one of the species monitored but not many of us in the UK will be lucky enough to see one!). When you spot these birds, record your sightings here.
You may also be interested to look into recording various signs of spring via the Natures Calender project by clicking here. At the moment, frogspawn, first flowering snowdrops and flowering celandines are key things to record.
Enjoy!

Also, Butterfly Conservation is asking for people to record the first appearance of a number of butterfly species.
Thanks for the links Ian, I've signed up.
