Did anyone catch this last night? Quite a good watch with some very cute scenes as well as some gritty truths about the hardships both predators and prey face in our polar extremes! Catch up on i-player here though it looks like it's also repeated next friday on BBC1 at 2.00 am
Warden Intern at Otmoor.
I missed it as I was working :( but I'll catch up though later. Is it UK based?
Cheers, Jason
Reading the tags at the bottom, snow monkey and penguins, its not UK based lol... doh! Does the BBC do winterwatch? Think thats out in Jan or feb? Really like that prog!
I was just about to point out that I hadn't seen many snow monkeys or polar bears here!!! It's mostly action from the poles but also some other harsh places around the world.
Winterwatch is coming in January I think!
Lol.... oh I have the odd polar bear feeding from the seed tray hehe :) I watched a programme about a year ago about penguins, and what they have to go through in order to survive! Shocking and cruel really. Yup, I'll have a catch up...
It was gorgeous! Those Arctic fox cubs practising their leaps onto the snow were so funny! Looking forward to Springwatch's Guide to Otters tonight now! :-)

It was worth watching, even though some of the footage was shown before. Either that, or it's a repeat, and I only remember bits. Deffo remember the monkeys in the hot tub.
Take care all, Stich.

Jason, that would be shock wouldn't it, I don't know if we do any polar bear proof feeders!!!
I'll start a seperate thread for the otter guide!
As for the snow monkey footage, I think it was new footage of the same troop of monkeys. I think there is only so much they can do with monkeys (Japanese macaques) in a thermal pool, still great to watch this behaviour though!
