 Hi there

I really enjoyed this programme tonight, and the photography was fabulous, along with a great write up in the Radio Times

One man's quest to be close to group of wild Turkeys as he watched then grow up as wild birds in their natural state.
BBC I-player is

A super close up shot of a BoP too! Wonder what it was.

  • I also watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is worth trying to find a repeat if you missed it.

    Cheers, Linda.

    Hi Sparrow

It is well worth a watch as it is so different from many programme that we see in the wildlife front.

It has a format all of its own, life's, ups, and downs in the bird kingdom with a surprise twist at the end of the story.

There seems to be a lots of time to watch it on BBC I-player so that is a good thing too

    Hi there

Great to see Joe Hutton books are on sale, and I feel the urge to buy one or others attached to his life experiences of the birds.

Did you see at the end of the programme, that Joe wanted to spend his life with a herd of deer local to his area. He is like an animal whisperer

What a brave person to do that have that trust between animal, and human as he has demonstrated in his 'Turkey' programme.

The shock at the end of the 'Turkey' programme was an eye opener that he was being treated as one of the species he looked after for nearly a year - and he had not the fight to deal with it at all.  Turkeyboy was a bit of a ladies man if that is way of viewing him, and he turned out to be the aggressor towards Joe Hutton close to the end of the programme

Sweetpea the affectionate bird had a bad end and that was sad
