SPRINGWATCH 2011

Hello folks,

I think we would all agree that spring wouldn't be spring without Springwatch, and this year its live from our wonderful Ynys-hir reserve!

So in case, you don't already know, Springwatch springs into action on the 30th May on BBC 2 at 8pm, so glue yourself to the screens. In the mean time, why not check out Springwatch blog here.

Enjoy!

Claire

  • Can't wait for the new series either! Never been to Ynyshir.... ought to go someday as it's not too far but think I'll wait until after the series! Lol! Hope we get to see more of Nick Baker again!

  • Something tells me that certain presenters seem to be in more demand than the wildlife! ;-)

    We're just attention seekers H!

Mind you with my gangly legs I should go dressed as a crane and not something as elegant as a Little Egret! ;o)

  • I hav''nt been to Ynys-hir since 1979, and i remember talking to the warden, i think he was call Bill Condry, although that might not be right and he had writen quite a few wild life books. I don't think he will be the warden their now.

  • With only four days to go before springwatch kicks off, the crew at the site have been busily getting things ready, check out our Ynys hir's blog's, forums and photo's to see how it's all coming along here or find it in the places to visit section.

Really looking forward to seeing how the waders at Ynys hir have got on, as well as the woodland birds the site is great for including redstarst, pied fly's and wood warblers. Ynys hir has got a great variety of habitats so there should be something for everyone this year! I'm hoping they also spend some time at Ynyslas dunes at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary, a great wildlife site.

Thanks yes, I subscribe to it so did see that! Hope there'll be more contributions from him!

Seems, from the TV paper, that the 'Unsprung' will only be on Wednesday eve... Shame as I find it very entertaining! :-)
