Just watched the Red Kite feeding centre featured in country file. They are feeding between 300 and in winter 600 kites a day. An amazing site to behold. Also showed the leucistic white kites.
Is this feeding station a good thing?

I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...

A lot of Red Kites for sure but can't help thinking that the Kites now rely on the feeding frenzy and what would happen when or if it stopped for one reason or another. Hopefully that will never happen.

Feed The Birds....not the cats!!!!
I know....my spelling's crap !!
Well, the farmer being interviewed said the meat they serve up is "just a top-up", and the birds still need to feed themselves on worms and anything they can get from first light.
I don't suppose it's any worse than all the grain being thrown to the wildfowl at Slimbridge at regular meal times, or even feeding birds in gardens.

Seriously thinking about trying harder!
No, I suppose when you put it like that you are right.
I suppose you could ask the same about me feeding my hedgehogs. #justsaying
