  • tigers cost me £5.00p per month with wwf ( i adopted one last year for my chrissies daughter,s 25th ) and now you are openly encouraging me to spend even more money (on electric ) well guess what ?

i will be glued to the tv enjoying every moment of it ---thankyou for the heads up!

  • Hi Claire

Thank you for the reminder. I will be sure to watch as I also watch all documentaries about big cats.

Veggie, you can tell it's going to be sad. The details start off by saying Broken Tail was.... and go on to say he survived for almost a year after going on the run.

So there isn't going to be a series with a happy ending. :-(

    Best wishes Chris

  • Hasn't Broken Tail already been in a documentary?  I'm sure I remember a tiger cub with a broken tail but I can't think which documentary he was from!  I certainly remember he left the reserve!

It's already set to record (on BBC Wales - BBC Scotland has a very annoying habit of not showing things at times!)

  • I watched this lastnight  It was some story realy enjoyed it.

    Cheers

    Hi Chris

Oh my goodness it was very sad indeed

If I remember right there was a former documentary about Broken Tail and his family unit.  The programme had not a happy ending .

I felt last night that some of the old footage was there once more of the family bonding with one another and being together.

The accident a year later with the train brought on the demise of Broken Tail just brought tears to my eyes- it was very sad indeed.  The end of the programme showed the flowers placed on the railway line and that was just the way to make the whole situation very tragic

To those who have not seen the programme, I have given away the plot but it is a warning that you will need a large box of tissues handy.

    Regards

    Kathy and Dave

  • Why is it that whenever a documentary I REALLY want to watch comes on it isn't on whichever channel it is set to series link on?  :-( I don't set it on BBC Scotland because the BBC loves changing things (missed a few episodes of Natural World early on in the series because they were messing around with the schedule) so we miss things and it looks like the poor Welsh are in the same basket!  There is no indication that that they are showing it on BBC Wales and I hate watching things on iPlayer as it it difficult to watch things on my laptop screen.  Now have Natural set on BBC2 England.  At least I know the snake one will definately record *sigh*
