If like me, you are completely blown away by the truly stunning wildlife of Madagascar, you'll be glued to your screens tonight watching MADAGASCAR - Island of Marvels on BBC Two. It's at 8pm and the first of three fantastic programmes, so enjoy!Claire
Part 2 is on now.
Why aren't you watching it??

Seriously thinking about trying harder!
Hi all,
Fantastic programme of course, but did you clock all the amazing birds as well??
Madagascar buzzard, which I had never heard of before.
There was also a large hawk, with plain pale grey back and wings, and a barred breast/undersides. I think it was a gymnogene, but can't be sure. Can anyone correct me or confirm? Gymnogene has double-jointed legs, which allows it to search for prey in all directions in a tree hole while hanging onto the trunk in the best position.
Other great birds which I can't remember like those two!

Have now checked this & it was a gymnogene.
Are we at the end of this series now?
