Hi there

Countryfile will be giving an insight into a new Reserve called Brockholes Nature Reserve in this programme. The Reserve is near Preston and adjacent to the M6 motorway.

The reserve has close connections with Lancashire Wildlife Trust. Looking good as it will be another place we can all visit for interest in the near future

    Hi Seaman

Like you, I am looking forward to visiting the new reserve too.  I think after seeing Countryfile it gives me an urge to visit now as it will make Dave and I very happy as we want to do the rounds of all the WWT Reserves in the UK.  Welney is next on our list with our Forums friends and we long to see them once more as we miss them a lot as people.  It is good to take note of all the sightings on the websites as they give you all the information that a 'birder' wants

We have a lot of contacts in the birding world already, and those who we value as people we will see as friends for many years to come - no shortage with us as we get out and about a lot and are not home based people at all.

Seaman: Nothing more satisfying and we will meet lots of 'birding' people like yourself Seaman on the way - maybe we could meet up sometime in the near future at one the local Reserves in the mentioned area.  We have longer to travel but with advise with the B&B's we have now from members here, we will visit in the future.

    Regards

    Kathy and Dave

Certainly looking foreward to visiting this reserve when it opens,it will only be just over a couple of hours away from us so would make an ideal spot for a full day out or even a weekends birding.

    Woodpecker is a Royal -watcher,

Not necessarily :-) I only wanted to make sure that I spotted Linda on the TV if they show The Queen opening Brockholes. As Linda says she will be wearing the biggest hat, I think it's highly possible. LOL

    Best wishes Chris

    LOL Chris

Love to see the hats that are worn by Linda, and the Queen.

Let the day be a sunny one to show everyone looking their best.

Yes, I will have the biggest hat and will be dunking my ginger nuts. You will easily recognise me. LOL

    Cheers, Linda.

    Hi Sparrow

Yes, I can see the scene of you with a large hat with some ribbons and bows and a mug of tea with a ginger nut watching the world go by.

Wonder if the Queen will have bright coloured attire on her person fro the occasion?

    Regards
