Hi everyone I think that the series is fabulous and well worth a watch. OH and I have enjoyed the first 2 parts of the programme. The first part had a great selection of birds in it:- Cormorants: The film of the Cormorants catching fish, and the fisherman taking the catch from the bird - due the the fact the bird has a string around their necks to prevent them swallowing the fish(This is used as an advert on TV) Other birds include: House Swifts, Red Rumped Swallows. Little Egrets, Bitterns, Tundra Swans, Storks, Siberian Cranes, not to mention all the other wildlife that was mentioned in the 1/6 of the programme In Part 2/6 of the programme some beautiful Sunbirds where shown along with Hummingbirds and other various birds including Tree Creepers. Of course Giant Pandas had to be shown, and the life cycle of Bamboo Trees. Looking forward to part 3/6 tomorrow. Regards Kathy and Dave
Hi-
there are great birds in china , the migration up the yellow sea coast is really good as well and includes many birds we regard as mega rarities here. :)

Thank you for your link Seymours {big smile}
Yes, your link is special and it shows many birds in China
It is interesting how the Chinese have a high regard for their birds like the Cranes (they are very special birds)
Hi there Part 3 had a great selection of birds once more. The Great Crested Grebes looks as beautiful as ever building their nests on the water platform. Bar headed Geese where everywhere throughout the programme along with Cormorants, Black Necked Cranes, Tibian (sp) Eared Pheasants. The vultures where filmed doing what comes naturally. I loved the jumping spider that lived up the famous Everest Mountain. Pikers are very cute to look at too. Watched part 4 today, and once more there was a good selection of birds. Stonechats (migratory birds) along with Cranes, Geese and Whopper Swans (breeding) ....and an Eagle (used for hunting purposes) Great programme and I am looking forward to the last 2 parts. Regards Kathy and Dave
Hi there
We did not see Part 5, but will watch it before the end of the holiday Part 6: Fabulous show once more and it had a lot more on the bird front in this programme articles about the whooper Swans in this case. A bit of information about the migratory birds such as Whooper Swans, Cranes, Herons, Spoonbills, Waders and shorebirds. ...and I watched in horror as a snake swallowed a Kingfisher whole. Enjoyed the programmes a lot. Regards Kathy and Dave
