Vote for your favourite wildlife presenter - just for fun!

With all of the brilliant wildlife programmes on TV at the moment we thought it would be a great time to run a poll on who is everyones favourite wildlife presenter! The options below are eleven of the regulars that have appeared recently on our screens.

We know there are lots more out there that we could have included, feel free to sing their praises as well!

Please keep the comments positive and feel free to vote on whatever criteria you see fit, be it knowledge of poo, how they look as nature intended (for the Iolo fans out there!) or simply on their enthusiasm for wildlife!

  • gordon bucannan for me, he is a local mull lad who is passonate, about

all wildlife, all the breaks he has made for himself, and has worked hard to get were he is today.

    best regards mac

  • Has to be Michaela as we spent the day filming with her - Animal Famillies - and she was terrific. Polite - would sign any autograph and have her picture taken with anyone who asked. Sir David is the "Boss" though!

  • Without doubt it has to be Sir David, (edited by RSPB Moderators)

  • Yes Sue, David and Simon are the top 2 on my list, both highly professional and full of passion in what they do,  bobbie

  • It is true that Sir David is the top wildlife presenter although I voted for Nick Baker as I love insects as he does, plus I really enjoyed the 'Weird creatures' series he did on Channel 5 some time ago!

Not on the list but another favourite is Dr George McGavin! He is so approachable and has helped me a few times with identifications! I also love his enthusiasm when exploring new territories (Land of the lost tiger, etc...)

    Hi Marjus

I so agree about George. He has such a friendly and enthusiastic approach and is fearless when having bugs crawling all over him :)

I will never forget how upset he was when being shown pictures of poached Tiger remains during that programme about the Land of the Tiger.

We are so lucky to have champions like him around.

If its no fun Yer no doin it right!

  • For me without doubt, Sir David and then Simon King.  I have respected and admired Sir David since I was knee high to a grasshopper.  In recent years, Simon King for his obvious passion and dedication. :-)

  • Sir David for me also.  (Edited by RSPB moderators)

    Spike Milligan

  • Oh, tough one!

Sir David Attenborough is simply amazing, but I'm not old enough to know all the programmes he's done, only the recent ones.

Kate and Chris - they are fun and really apealing to young enthusiasts!

Simon King - Funny, I love his sense of humour, amazing filmer and overall great!

But my vote has to go to.... BILL ODDIE. The classic birding book LBBB was what inspired me to go birdwatching, he's so funny, and I luuurve his books. Also, my garden birds say 'we love his bird food!' so yeah!

'Dip a dee dah, dip a dee ay, we're not seeing any birds to-day...'
