I seem to have 2 Cuckoos in my garden. Can any one help me to identify them - they are v young, brown & being fed by Black Birds.

Hi,
blackbirds are not a common cuckoo host- are you sure they aren't young blackbirds? :) Commonest hosts are reed warbler, dunnock, meadow pipit, robin.

normally a cuckoo chick ejects all other eggs/ chicks so two together sounds odd :)
Totally valid point, if I was half awake I would have mentioned that as well.
Far to many early starts and late finishes this last month.
