Spotted in the garden this morning. She was pulling the grass from the edge of the paving slabs where it was longer. A good reason for not being too tidy when gardening, not that my garden is over-manicured. No prizes for spotting the weeds in the grass.
Nature prevails but why make it difficult for her.
I wonder if thats where the saying "GARDEN BIRDS" comes from?
great photo Thanks for sharing it :)

If its no fun Yer no doin it right!
Lovely photo, thanks for sharing :o)
I have noticed how members of the thrush family are very good at pulling up the long bits of grass, a female blackbird who comes here was putting a lot of effort into yanking some out the other morning.
Excellent capture, lovely photo. They are so sweet when they do this. They work very hard building their nests.
My blackbirds and starlings also pull up the dried grass from the edges, not to mention the honeysuckle leaves. Thanks for sharing this.
Cheers, Linda.

What a great photo. Must convince my hubby that the lawn does not have to look like a bowling green
