Hi all,
We went to Warburg Nature Reserve (B,B & O) primarily to take photos of Red Kites and Buzzards.
I took plenty of photos but although these aren't especially good they show the nest buidling behaviour of a Red Kite who found something that he or she decided to pick up and take with him or her:
What's this I've found:
Yes I've got it:
It's a bit heavy:
Oops I mustn't drop it:
Yes it's still there:
Here is a tagged Red Kite that I took quite a few pictures of:
Best wishes Chris

Hi Chris,
Very nice too!
MC:-)
Hi MC
Thanks :-)
I see you have a new Avatar...and I thought the old one was you!
Aah, the man of a thousand faces! Ain't I just a veritable Mike Yarwood?
Lovely pics woodpecker, you do get some lovely shots.
And who on earth are you now mickycoop, that looks like him from rage against the machine ( but surely not ).
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.
Hi Micky
Isn't it Jon Culshaw these days rather than Mike Yarwood? :-)
Hi BBB
Thanks for your comments BBB I can never see small birds in trees, so I seem to concentrate on bigger ones :-)
Hi Woodpecker ,
I'm the same, we sat out in my Grandparents garden today and the birdsong was fantastic, but even though the trees are fairly bare I still couldn't see them, I had everybody looking for them.
My problem probably stems from the fact that about a year ago I had a badly torn retina in my right eye, and it had to be laser stitch repaired. Ever since then I have been able to see lot's of black flecks or 'floaters' in that eye, and as it's my dominant eye, that might be why I can't seem to pick out birds in trees from amongst all of the black flecks.
When I get some decent binoculars I'm hoping I might be able to spot them.
Hi Woodpecker,
Lovely pics :)

Is someone trying to imply that I'm too old to be down with the kids here?
OK, I admit it. I am too old to be down with the kids! It's not Zack de la Rocha, It's the one and only Robert Nesta Marley O.M.
