Excellent prog & muchly enjoyed today`s episode. At one point, they`re trying to locate a tagged White-fronted Goose on a Scottish island.Martin says..."It was last seen shortly before Xmas" I nearly died laughing. :-)
Hahahaha EB, I hear that roast pots are lovely done in goose fat!!!
If the Whitefronts are anything like Greylags in taste I don't rate them, got a friend who is a wildfowler and having tasted one of his I think beans on toast would be better.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
LOL. :-)
I really enjoyed Winterwatch & I learnt some new things as well. It was much better than Autumnwatch. Unsprung was very good too.
Best wishes
Val.
Just thinking how lucky they were to get such good footage of Golden Eagles,I know some of it is a case of "right place at the right time" but whatever it was great to see it up on the screen. Many of us will know the feeling of spending hours out on the hill looking for Eagles and seeing nothing so well done to all involved, lets have more please.
I thought the dipper footage was amazing!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
