Hello everyone! Autumnwatch live from RSPB's very own Leighton Moss begins tomorrow night, the moderating team are really looking forward to a week of wildlife on the box and we hope you too are, especially with those dark nights now upon us it is definitely something to enjoy!
We would love to generate as much discussion about the programme as possible on the communities, what do or don't you like, favourite bits, what could be improved on for next time and discussion about what you are seeing, talking nature is great fun and we can all learn something from doing so!
This will be the "official" page for talking Autumnwatch 2013, hope that's ok! The moderating team of Claire and myself will be watching every night and will be online as the programme is on and afterwards if anyone wants to have a chat or ask any questions!
Really looking forward to it!
My 'treat' will be watching them tonight! :-)
Incidentally, have asked Autumnwatch on Twitter but no answer as yet.... anyone know where they got those hares from, which they were painting on Unsprung last night??? I SOOOOOO want one!! Lol!

Check out those waders on the night cameras!
I hope you have the Lemon Drizzle Cake and Carrot Cake that was mentioned tonight in Autumnwatch which you could get from the Cafe in tonights poll as I will definitely vote for that if it's in as they both sound delicious and mouth watering just like the Orange Drizzle Cake. I will definitely try some from the cafe on my next visit.
Regards,
Ian.
Could go a slice or two!
It seems as though the BBC has a technical problem as the picture from Autumnwatch Extra has just disappeared but it's just come back on.
Jennifer T said: Could go a slice or two! Definitely worth a go Mrs T we always make at least one call on the cafe when at the Moss,in bad weather maybe more. For us it is a toss up between the cafe at Leighton Moss or the one at RSPB Saltholme that has the best cake, the latter is a little nearer to us so gets more visits.

Birding is for everyone no matter how good or bad we are at it,enjoy it while you can
Well I'm hoping to having my first visit to Saltholme next March with my local members group by bus, as I live by myself and I can't drive. So I rely on going Birdwatching with the local RSPB local group.
Did anyone else see the Murmurations of 10's of thousands of Starlings at Leighton Moss, and it's just ended? It was really spectacular. What a privaledge.
Hope everyone is looking forward to tonight's final Autumnwatch, remember it starts at 8.30pm and straight afterwards there is an Unsprung episode!
