Can you remember the last time you saw a Kestrel? If like me you were touched by Chris's story on tonights Springwatch, why not check out the link below and get involved with the Kestrel count survey:http://www.kestrelcount.org/
Awesome Alan, thank you.
I usually see Kestrels every time I go to Neumann's Flash, Nr. Northwich, Cheshire but the last three times there has only been the buzzards around; female Kestrel may be nesting but we should be seeing the male so hoping to take another walk round there tomorrow or Friday, weather permitting ! I'm having trouble with the spotters website too so will look tomorrow.

There was a female Kestrel on my local patch last winter but haven't seen her or any others anywhere since. A sad state of affairs - I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Thanks for the link MrsT,as recorder for our little local club on the Eastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales I have noticed in the last couple of years that I get more records of sightings of Common Buzzard and Red Kite than Kestrel, sad state of affairs for this lovely little raptor.
