Hi all
Before I got my flash card in the camera there were 4 in at the same time! Must be a sign of Spring?
Best wishes Chris

What lovely pics Woodpecker, I've still yet to see any birds having a bath in our birdbath, I have seen a Dunnock and a Blue tit have a drink, no baths yet, can't wait to see them all making use of it.
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.
Great pictures, Chris. I've noticed that starlings do like communal bathing. When one starts they all want to join in. Blackbirds on the other hand seem to go in for bathing alone but can empty the birdbath in no time at all they do it so vigorously.

Fabulous photos - (s)he's having a really good wash and brush-up! It's great how your camera has even caught the splashing water. Is yours the same as Sparrow's?
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi Woodpecker,
Great photo's, as soon as my pond thawed I had a queue waiting to have a bath, I was runing out of towels!!
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!

Hi Squirrel
Thanks for the nice comments. My camera is a Canon EOS 20D quite old now.
I want a lens for it like Paul E has....but I need to sell something in order to pay for it. I haven't decided what yet :-)
(Suggestions gratefully accepted)

Thanks BBB, TJ and Janet. :-)
It went so mad that it looked like a drowned rat at the end.
A wood pigeon also had a bath this morning, and I had to refill it after he had emptied it!
I'm running out of towels like Janet :-))
Hi Chris
Love your pictures of the Starlings
They just love to have their communial bath. They love a good splash about!
I have seen up to 8 Starlings in my small bird bath at one time.
As with the feeders how many Starlings can you cram into a small space ie birdbath
I have noticed Woodpigeons prefer a soak in the bath over a shower!
Regards
Kathy and Dave
Brilliant photographs Chris. Thanks.
Our birds must be happy being dirty, even the blackbirds are not bothering. The baths are the same as they have always used. I can only presume they have taken to having showers, with all the rain we have been having.
LOL Brenda! Mine too - although the wood pigeons are drinking from the bird bath!
Hi Chris, your camera might be quite old but it does great photos. Not sure what to advise you to sell but good luck with getting the lens. Maybe you could hint for Mother's Day, Easter, birthday etc. and see how you get on.
