2009 was for me a nice year ish, Tonight I will toast 2010 and hope you all and myself have a good one. Filled with birds!! The end of the year has been a challenge, practically snowed in, as far as trips go anyway. Temps at -10 and below, frozen pipes and constant digging out. Great fun!! The good thing has been more time looking out into my own garden and beyond. One or two shots I hope you enjoy.

Happy new year to all
John :-)
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
Hi there
I should mention that you have been a great new set of friends to have had in 2009.
RSPB in 2010 now is a new year of stronger friendship, and I raise a glass of champagne to everyone tonight when the 12am New Year Bell peal.
Best wishes to all here on RSPB
Regards
Kathy and Dave
Thank you all for comments/ kind words. I tried to get out and about, only managed a couple of hundred yards. Very!! cold out there. one or two local shots and one or two more birdies for you. Welcome to 2010 hope it is all you wish for.
Wowee John! Brilliant photos. If this is a foretaste of things to come you will be truly spoiling us. Thanks for sharing.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi all
Happy New Year to you all - hope whatever you did you did it well and enjoyed yourselves!

Super pictures John. It is looking very frosty where you are at the moment
Hope the 1st day of the New Year 2010 went well for everyone {smile}
Only just got internet access back, and this site let me back in, so belated Happy New year everybody.
Love the Bird photos.
Great photos John!! Are things improving with you? Each time I see the forecast, I see more snow for Scotland... None here save for what's on the surrounding hills!
A VERY HAPPY, HEALTHY & PROSPEROUS 2010 to each and every one of you!
