This is a very unusual occurence in my garden. I have just seen three sparrows! Here is a very hasty snap through my living room window:
I have already seen a pair of blackbirds and a dunnock going in and out of the evergreen hedge so maybe they are going to join them and make a nest. I hope so :-)

Hi Sarum Bat
I don't see Sparrows in my garden either. It's still a very nice pic even if it was hurried. :-)
Best wishes Chris

Hi SB
Nice shot . It's good to see them. I feel they are making a bit of a resurgence as over the last couple of years I've had many more in my garden than for many years - I do hope so I've missed them.
I think they usually prefer to nest in recesses and crevices under roofs and the like rather than trees but you never know your luck. Let's hope so.
Regards
TJ

I'm so pleased for you SB. They are such fabulous birds to have in your garden - and noisy with it!! I hope they stay.
Cheers, Linda.

Well done SB
Great picture of the Sparrows in a famous Sparrow pose
Hope that they will stay and enjoy your garden

Thank you.
Since posting this pic I have a pair of dunnocks, not just one and also seen the female blackbird with a beak full of nesting materials picked up in the garden. She is tidying up for me and saving me a job. How kind ;-)
It looks like you may have a busy nursery in your garden this year!
Hi SB, that's a great photo. I do hope they stay around as they are so much in decline that all new sightings are good news.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Congratulations on your Sparrows! Have they been back?
Hope they decided to set up a colony in your garden; there's nothing quite like having a colony of Sparrows :o)
Great news and a lovely pic SB! I wouldn't be without my spadgers!! ;-)
