Hello everyone,
I live between Lincoln and Scunthorpe. has anyone got any tips for me on where I could see Red Kites without travelling too far?
thanks in advance
Ladybird
Why is there never enough time?
Hi Ladybird
Hope you do get to see them in Yorkshire. They are well worth making the effort. Just to encourage you here's a photo of one that flew over my garden just east of Reading. If you do make a detour to the Reading area you are almost guaranteed to see them.
Regards TJ

Hello TJ,
That's a great photo. I'll let you know if I make it to Leeds. I'll be positive and take my camera with me!
Cheers

Hi Ladybird. Woodley & Sonning Common are both good places to see the kites. In Woodley near Crockhamwell Road they get fed scraps by a few people I think so they're often just hanging hopefully around! Sonning Common has open areas of fields so you can watch them soaring around there quite well. Keep us posted.
TeeJay- lovely photo. I find that by the time I've zoomed in on my old Olympus I've missed them! Very frustrating!
