Hi there
Springwatch 2010 - BBC2, Monday 31st May for 3 weeks
http://www.simonkingwildlife.com/events/index.php
Cannot wait for this programme to appear now.
It is my regular dose of wildlife happiness, and it is just the best could ever happen.
Anyone else an avid watcher of this programme.
Regards
Kathy and Dave
Unknown said: I love it, just hope I get to see a bit more of this year because I work most weekday evenings, hopefully it goes on the iplayer! I think it's great that there are programmes like this on tv and that the presenters are so enthusiastic and knowledgable about wildlife, if it weren't for Spring Watch and Autum Watch there wouldn't be anything along these lines for us to watch so we should all be greatful! And I also think that they get more people enjoying and appreciating wildlife that may not have really been that intressted beforehand!

I agree, there are so many more people interested in wildlife now. I have watched birds all my life, being shown them by my father from an early age was just part of growing up, they have always been there. Friends are now more interested in my hobby and talk to me about wildlife more than ever. Reserves are full of people with binoculars. When I was a teenager in the 1970's (giving away my age there!) going with my family to mid-Wales to look for Red Kites was considered quite unusual, and not something other people seemed to understand. I think it's great that people are more aware of the wildlife around them. We are part of it, not separate from it and more people are beginning to realise that.
By the way, I still think of my Dad and how amazed he would be now if he knew that I could see Kites(and buzzards!) flying over my house in Hertfordshire
Toadflax.
