This morning, on my way to work, I stopped to see if the hares were about as usual.
I walked along the edge of a field, to a gap in the hedge into another field where I sometimes see them... imagine my surprise when I reached the gap and saw this hare just the other side!! Imagine HIS surprise!!! We stared at each other for a millisecond; I then quickly took two pics before he shot off!! Wow!
Hope the image stays a while...

Hi MarJus
Love the new pictures of the Hares. MarJus ... beautiful animals
You have them at their best and looking/behaving as they should at the moment
March Hare is the word for them at the moment
You are so lucky to have that opportunity in life.. so rare!
Regards
Kathy and Dave
YAY! I have finally managed to see your photo MarJus and it's brilliant. Thanks for sharing that. You seem to get quite a lot of hares your way and you are lucky as I don't see them here - either that or I don't go to the right places! Rabbits yes, hares no.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Thanks Squirrel! I am very lucky indeed! Saw 18 hares yesterday morning spread out in about 4 fields! Fortunately the land owner is very wildlife friendly and doesn't allow hunting of any kind either! Here's a couple from yesterday (if they stay... if not, they're on my Flickr stream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rock_wolf/)
Oooooh MarJus, I can see the pics, and WOW, what excellent captures. Brilliant.
Cheers, Linda.

Brilliant pictures as always Marjus. When I was at work we used to see lots of them in the car park being situated on a tech park and directly opposite woods. I didn't have a decent camera at that time but we often saw them from the window squaring up to each other. Its a great sight and well captured.

Marjus , always love to see your hare photographs. Thanks. I have deliberately tried to spot some but just fields of rabbits I am sorry to say.

Sorry, that was me falling off the chair because I can see the second lot of photos at the first attempt!
Anyway, WOW! They are fabulous photos MarJus. Thanks sooo much for sharing those.
Ouch Squirrel ... hope you haven't broken anything!!!
More lovely pics Marjus, well done, I do love hares, those and foxes, they always put me in mind of old folklore tales, I always feel they are very English olde worlde ( is that just me being mad again ).
There is a sufficiency in the world for man's need but not for man's greed.
Wonderful pics! I can't remember when I last saw a hare. Must be ten years ago!
