A short afternoon alongside the river and we saw a rare visitor a Night Heron

Arrived at the river around 12.15pm on a lovely sunny afternoon, we had heard that a rare visitor may still be in the vicinity

It likes Minnows for lunch

The Night heron and the sand martin were two birds I had not seen before to photograph so I was well pleased
