A wildflower very easily overlooked beetles like pollen beetles and also bugs benefit from these not just pollinators
The thing sticking out is it’s toungue
ants like dandelions iv seen lots of them on them recently after something in particular trying to get at something there’s no aphids so possibly after the sweet nector
including these guys
these like them too and there are also some spiders called flower spiders they change colour to blend in with the flower they are on so they can catch any prey that strays too close
this might look like a wasp but that’s just mimicry this is actualy a type of bee called nomads bee they love dandelions
These arnt insects but rounded springtails they like dandelions aswell
Another species I found a lot in dandelions recently
and these are very common in dandelions aswell these were found in closed flower heads they were tucked in gaps made in the closed flowers kind of like holes and gaps they can go in and have a rest and stay hidden
This can also be found on dandelions and are very common on dandelions in spring they are called mining bee( Andrena)

So much Wildlife benefits from dandelions just how much wildlife not everyone is aware of the most common ones people know that visit dandelions are bees in fact it’s one of there favourite wildflowers and can commonly be found where there’s dandelions but there many more species that benefit from them too. I got lots In the garden at the moment so some are from the garden others Saintbridge balancing pond and the brook dandelions are in flower now but these are all the dandelions Iv seen out and about I got a lot more photos of dandelions But that would make it a longer post if I sent them too
Daniels Brook, Gloucestershire Bulbous Buttercup
don’t go looking on the ground for this. It is a tall buttercup
This species has characteristic Sepels flexed downwards
another (tall) species to look out for is the meadow buttercup but unless you look at the sepels underneath they will all look the same
unlike bulbous buttercup meadow buttercup has sepels faceing upwards the other things to look for aswell but these are just a few of the main features
Meadow Buttercup
I forgot to send these there starting to come up in Kingsway in Gloucestershire and some are flowering and there is 2 in the garden aswell
There was one in my border and then there was another one in the garden aswell this is before it flowered
