I saw one cornflower seedling come up in my bucket. Im trying to keep the Chickweed under control so that the cornflowers can grow

Its definitely made some progress with growing
Iv moved the young Buttercup away from the holly otherwise it could of competed for the holly and possibly strangled it cause it was right behind it
The common buttercups in the garden are usually creeping Buttercup Buttercups like bulbous Buttercup is March to May. meadow buttercup flowering time is around April and October Creeping Buttercup is May to August

it has a distinctive shaped veins on the leafs. You can identify some wildflowers even before they flower you don’t have to wait for them to flower in order to identify them the flowers arnt the only way to identify wildflowers cause there’s other identification features too

I saw a small patch of these yesterday - Wood Anenomes. According to the internet they typically grow in ancient woodlands and graveyards.
Thats a Nice photo. Thanks for sharing. Yes the wildflower is a wood anemone. And is one of the plants that flower early in Spring And are one of those plants that are found in old and Ancient woodland. It flowers March to May. And are considered a ancient woodland indicator plant. its a favourite of hoverflys aswell. the wood anemone is in the buttercup family.
