That's a lot of geese both you saw ILR and what a lovely sunset in the last pic. I always think the Goldfinches look so tropical with their red and yellow colours and the collective term "a charm of Goldfinch" is so suitable for these pretty little finches. .

Hi Hazel there were hundreds of geese flying into a field and it was good for practicing photographing them in flight.
With regards the goldfinch they seem to be doing well and there seems to be loads about at the moment and yes they are a lovely colourful bird. Glad you liked the sunset there was lots of cloud about but liked this one because of the geese in the picture as well.
