With many birds getting their breeding plumage now and lot's of birdsong filling the air it won't be long now until our summer visitors start to arrive. A sand martin was spotted down in London already! We probably need a turn around in weather conditions to kick start things properly but when we do start to see our sand martins, swallows, wheatear etc share your sightings here and don't forget to add them to Birdtrack.
Migration is also on the cards for many wintering birds as they make their way north or east to their breeding grounds so keep an eye out for these species movements

3 swallows (1 in Nw, one in Cornwall and Another one), 2 wheatears (Wales and Devon), 2 sand martins (London and the south) and a turtle dove (Cornwall) have all arrived back to my knowledge!
