Just read the first report of returning Swallows. One seen along the Mersey Estuary on the 28th Feb. Previous earliest sighting in the area was 10th March in 1997. Average earliest returning date nationally is 26th March. Keep your eyes open.

Hope this will be a better swallow year. Weather is supposed to be settled here for the foreseeable future, although I think it is stormy over the near continent at the moment.
My resident swallows usually turn up 18th - 19th April.
