Spotted osprey flying north just above A19 road at Billingham, Teesside at approx 12.25pm.
Appeared to be struggling in the gale force westerly winds and the attention of two angry gulls.
Nice sighting,Holgate, hopefull it was a ird heading for a brreding area athough some are already at the nest

Oh hope its on its way back to Cumbria .
Of all creatures, man is the most detestable, he is the only creature that inflicts pain for sport, knowing it to be pain. ~ Mark Twain
Hi holgate10
That's a good spot! Fingers crossed that it finds a mate and breeds here. :-)
The nests at Loch Garten and Loch of the Lowes are now occupied by the same pairs of ospreys that bred successfully there last year.
The web-cams are compulsive viewing. :-)
Best wishes Chris
