Hi everyone,
I first saw long tailed tits in my garden in early February, and I saw them regularly every morning for about a week or so, but they then failed to turn up again until yesterday :P Also, I had been seeing quite a lot of these beautiful little birds whenever I was out walking, but once again have only started seeing them again recently.
I'm just wondering what might have made them disappear from my garden and other local areas. Do they have different feeding behaviours in February and March?
Thanks for any replies,
WW
WW,it could be that they have got their minds on breeding and may have moved to quieter woods and hedges to get on nest building and rearing young. They may be back later in the year with their family.
