A friend called me a while ago to tell me there were 80 Waxwings on Waterford Heath near Hertford. When we arrived about 20 mins later they were down to about 30, still great to see some more before they disappear. I love the noise they make I recorded it on my mobile so I can listen to them again.

I've now abandoned all hope of seeing either waxwings or redpolls, but maybe I will be one of the lucky ones next year. :-)
