I looked out of the windows yesterday evening and saw what I thought was a flock of starlings in a nearby oak tree. As we don't see many starlings hereabouts I used my binos to to take a closer look. To my surprise it was a flock of waxwings (about 20 or so). My first sighting!

Hi Guy,
In the oak tree at the junction of Lyon Road and Pinewood Avenue.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that they have moved on but I'll be be watching out again this evening.
Thanks Bobo... shout loudly if you see any more and I will jump in the car! :)
I have just had a flock of about 30 Waxwings flitting in and out of the Ash tree in the front garden in Wooburn Common for about 45 minutes. Never seen them around here before.
Guy,
Yesterday lunchtime I saw a flock of over 20 waxwings in a a tree on Church Hams, Finchampstead.
Might be worth a visit.
