     Hi Mac

I noticed them driving back from the swimming baths

Been watching this area as they were there several years ago and was where I saw my first waxwing.

Unfortunately couldn't go back this afternoon shopping and wife to doctors so put it on here for anyone else in the area but will be there tomorrow with camera.

        Regards Ray

Great news Ray and Mac about the Waxwings

They always seem to end up in car parks and that is their forte - just the place they like to hang out.

Hope that you see them once more tomorrow sometime.

Hope that you wife is okay Ray!

    Regards

    Kathy and Dave

    hi Mac

Went bacck this morning and counted 30

They are in poplar trees and keep coming down for berries a few yards from the roadside, they are a bit wary of busses and lorries and it is a very busy road.  They are feeding from a tree with gold colored berries not sure if its a type of rowan.

The rout is the A61 INTO BARNSLEY from the wakefield direction and all waky and leeds buses come into town this way.

Every now and then they left the area but came back. I believe yesterday was their first day.

If anyone is interested oppisite Macdonalds and ASDA.  i paked in the bottom of ASDA CAR PARK.

walk out onto the Wakefield road and there is a bustop. Straight opposite the bus stop is where they are but the poplars are to the left of the river dearn and they are feeding to the right of the dearn

Weather this morning wsa poor so pictures are poor           Regards Ray
