Hi Barnsley Lad
Where about`s in south yorks ? i`ve not seen a waxwing yet so it would be a good tick for me.

love life & live it
there's reports about them around our area already as well. I've still never seen one. In Norfolk last week and almost every place we visited people told us of small flocks here and there and never managed to see them. The day after we came home, there was some in Stiffkey the village we stayed in.
This weekend, I'm determined, will be my first sighting.

Any idea where in South Yorks? I'm off to Potteric tomorrow. Do you think I've got any chance?

Hi ladybird and Mjay
The only message I got was sightinds in south and west yorks.
I was talking to birders at Anglers country park who saw some at Pugneys Wakefield but they don't seem to be hanging round
SEEMS THEY ARE FILLING UP AND MOVING ON .Is this the pattern in other areas.
Fruitbat reported them in Deepcar and I believe they also moved on.
Ladybird enjoy your day at Potteric carr It's a great place and I am sure there will be a buzz if any waxwings are about. Look Potteric carr up on the net and the sightings will be there
I've had no luck myselfe yet but be assured I will let you know .
Would love to see Waxwings and keep checking the cotoneaster tree opposite just in case. Anyone seen any in the Cotswolds??
