A combination of Hurricane Earl on the eastern US seaboard and easterlies here, coupled with overnight fog could result in a large fall of North American and Siberian vagrants over the next few days. There are already Barred and Greenish Warblers and Common Rosefinches on the east coast as well as large numbers of commoner migrants such as Redstarts, Whinchats and Pied Flycatchers.
Now is the time to head for the coast for a good chance of seeing Wryneck, Red-backed Shrike, Hoopoe, amongst others. And where better to go than our Titchwell, Minsmere, Dungeness or Hayle Estuary reserves.
Now is the time to be out in the field!

Hi Dom
That's great news!
I almost wish I could be here to see them all, but I'm off to Florida where I will be nearer the storm. :-)
Best wishes Chris
