Well the crows on the chimney pot have beaten all the other birds in our garden with their first offspring
They nest every year in the chimney above our lounge and every winter we have to have the nest taken out so we can light the fire
The noise now down the chimney at tea time now is so loud we have to switch the tv up
They are definately not my favourite bird but it is a welcome sign spring has arrived
Hi Marion I think crows are lovely birds, very intelligent and much misunderstood.
Have to say though I wouldn't fancy a crow's nest up the chimney!
Regards
Ian
I think it is beacause they are so ugly birds not like my pretty little robins
i put out lots of horse hair every year in a trough outside our garage and the birds love it for nesting material
Al chicks are wonderful

Corvids were the first to have young here too. Ravens had four chicks hatch in mid March. They left the nest two weeks ago.

hi john yes they are and we have an abundance here from pheasants strutting on the lawn to owls hunting bats and rodents over the stream and many specious of other nesting birds here
i did not mean it in a derogative manner
At the end of the day I guess we're here because we all love birds - all birds - but there's nothing wrong with loving some birds more than others. :)
