Here in the Lincolnshire Vales I saw the first two swallows on Wednesday (17th April 2013) afternoon amid a force 6 gale. What a joy to see - summer is not far behind hopefully.

I saw my first Swallow up here in North Lincolnshire on the 16th - where are you? - I haven't heard of the Linconshire Vales.

This morning I saw two pairs of Swallows in South Ayrshire, Scotland - so they are working their way up country!

It is the old Rutland area. Lovely to see them back I think the gales must have brought them early.

We have only two so far - hopefully there are more - it was a bad year for them last summer/autumn.
