Hi Jenny, that's a great photo. It certainly looks like a redwing to me. I saw my first two a couple of weeks back and was so thrilled. Well done on noticing.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Inded it is Jenny. They are appearing in gardens all over the country because of this severe weather. Nice photo.

hello I have just noticed flocks of these in the bushes and trees around my house so has my mum dont know if its the same lot as we live quite close never seen them before, they are feeding on berries in the bushes etc and there must have been 10 or more, lovely !!

Saw 4 of these last week jumping in & around a hedge by a very busy road junction. They were completely unfazed by all the cars & two hopped out onto the pavement. I didn't know what they were either & looked them up. My dad doesn't believe me & thinks I'm mistaken so I'm very happy to see your photo of an identical bird & read the replies confirming what I thought.
