Wow! Another case of albinism! Nice capture of the sparrow Teuchter!

Great photo Teucher. I've never seen leucism in a sparrow before, although I am noticing more defined white wing bars on my male sparrows. The tail looks very natural

Hello.Poor wee thing looks like she's just perched on the edge of an open tin of white paint. Great picture, Teuchter.Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Teuchter, lovely and unusual photograph. Definitely a first for me and I'm pretty sure it is the first white tailed sparrow we have seen on this site.
oh shame for me I can't see the photo just a red x in a box

Hi,
House sparrows do exhibit albinism occasionally. I've seen white secondaries, white outer tails and odd white tertials before.

Hi Teuchter,
We see a great tit with a white tail in our garden occasionally. Very similar to your sparrow. I'll try and get a photo next time I see it.

I thought it was unusual and this pic was taken on 25.12.2007 and I know it was back last year but as yet have not seen it this year (2009).
Kezmo - I have logged in a couple of times when someone has made a comment and I get a white box with a blue ? mark in it sometimes instead of the pic. The pic is back for me now!
Thanks to all who commented.

I too get no picture sorry, sounds good.
For viewing or photography right place right time is everything. I'd rather be in the right place with poor kit than have the best kit and be in the wrong place.
I have put a post in the Technical forum to see if they can sort out this inconsistency.
Glad you found this interesting folks.
