Please identify this bald bird

It's a Robin....possibly going through its molt and still to get his new head feathers...or it could have mites.....there are quite a few bedraggled birds around the now...they molt after their breeding season has finished

Very unusual to see that lone head feather sticking up like a red indian's headress! Also great to catch it still singing heartily!

That's a robin with a feather mite problem.

Used to have one here for a few years. It would go progressively bald after the moult. Come spring time it was an avian slap-head. At least that 'feature' enabled me to identify one specific robin. At the time I could (at times) count six fully feathered - plus this one that didn't overtly contest territorial boundaries.
