Hi everyone,
Spotted what I believe to be a young kestrel or buzzard on the ground in local woodland yesterday. It didn't seem too alarmed by my presence, but I quickly left the area so as not to disturb it. Passed the area again one hour later and it had gone, so hopefully it's okay.
Can anyone confirm whether it is indeed a kestrel or buzzard (or neither) please?
How likely is it that a parent would be feeding it?
Apologies - picture quality not too great from my old phone.
Thanks,
Graham.
Some info for you Graham www.rspb.org.uk/.../ I would say that the youngster shouldn't be on the ground but good that you did check later, hopefully found it's way back to roost with siblings!
