Would anyone be able to identify this odd warbling call occasionally heard in the night coming from fields and trees next to our house? It’s repeated every 20 seconds or so. Sorry the recording is rather quiet.
I've increased the volume on your recording Jim and I think you're hearing a Tawny Owl with it's wobbly warbling call (example below the edited recording.
