Drama!

Cormorants rather than herons for my money and an eel. Could be a shag and a lamprey also.

Chris is correct with 2 Cormorants - both birds seem to have yellow that extends around the eye.

Eel or Lamprey? I couldn't tell :)

After a little close study of the second photo in enlargement, I can answer my own eel/ lamprey query. I can clearly see two pectoral fins, which means eel and not lamprey, as the latter lack paired fins.

Another giveaway lamprey vs eel, is lamprey's don't have a jaw as such. Either way, still a fabulous collection of photos.
