Ouch. It looks like an immature gull - I'm going to guess a common gull due to the leg colour.

I'm not able to ID the bird.

Can you give an indication of size, ie blackbird size, robin size etc?

Also the environment, urban, woodland, open fields etc?

Those two bits of info might help someone else more knowledgeable to ID the bird.

Looks as though it is an immature Gull of some sort to me, People need to be very cautious about touching dead or injured birds due to Avian Flu. It can be spread on our footwear and there is a very slight chance of it being passed to humans
